To achieve certification each application undergoes a manual technical compliance review against WCAG 2.2 to level AA.

The application underwent both a technical compliance audit and robust end to end testing by users with a wide range of disabilities including blind, low vision, dyslexia, colour blindness, mobility impairments, learning difficulties, Deaf, Asperger and anxiety and panic disorder.

All testing is carried out in line with relevant platform specific guidelines, and where applicable, conforms with The Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018. Testing also conforms to Section 508 of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)

List of Known Issues

  • Some colour combinations of non-text objects do not currently meet the required ratios.
    These are out of the control for MindView to amend.
  • Some colour combinations of text against background colours do not currently meet the required ratios.

Journey

  1. Login
  2. Click ‘mind map’ under the ‘new’ section
  3. To edit the subject name click into the speech bubble on the page and begin to type this will then be displayed in the speech bubble
  4. To insert a new topic click the ‘topic’ icon this located in the ‘insert section in the navigation (this can also be done by pressing the enter button)
  5. To edit the topic click into the speech bubble on the page and begin to type. This will then be displayed in the speech bubble
  6. To insert a new topic click the ‘topic’ icon this located in the insert section in the navigation (this can also be done by pressing the enter button)
  7. To insert a new ‘text note’ there is a dropdown located in the insert section in the navigation. The ‘text note editor’ will open and appear in the bottom of the window and to add the comment you will need to close the ‘text note editor’. A paper clip will appear in the speech bubble that the note was inputted onto.
  8. To edit the text note there is a dropdown located in the insert section in the navigation. The ‘text note editor’ will open and appear in the bottom of the window. Where you can edit the note
  9. Click on the ‘icons’ this located on the right hand side of the screen
  10. Add a red flag to one of the topics by selecting out of the icons this will appear in the speech bubble you have clicked into.
  11. Click the view tab and click the ‘timeline’ button
    1. To edit the title click into the outline this is located on the left side of the page
    2. To add a topic click into the timeline tools tab and click the add topic button
  12. Click the view tab and click the ‘Kanban’ button
    1. To edit the title click into the outline this is located on the left side of the page
    2. To add a topic a ‘new topic window’ will appear fill this out with dummy details and then click the save button
    3. This will then appear under the ‘not started’ section of the ‘Kanban’
  13. Click the view tab and click the ‘Year wheel’ button
    1. To add a topic a ‘new topic window’ will appear fill this out with dummy details and then click the save button
    2. The information entered will appear on the ‘Year wheel’
    3. To change the year on the wheel there a left and right arrow these will change the years displayed on the wheel
  14. Click the view tab and click the ‘Gantt’ button
    1. A warning message will be displayed click the ‘ok’ button
    2. To view and edit the information click into the outline this is located on the left side of the page
